We want to ensure your child plays on a team this season! BASC is a volunteer based club that requires parents to coach teams, manage teams and serve executive board positions. In the instance that a team does not have a parent step forward to coach, the team will not be able to form and all players on that team will receive a refund.
What volunteer role will you take for your child’s team?
Coach – Every team must have a parent volunteer to be the primary coach. No experience necessary, we train our coaches at no cost to you. Coaches also pick their own practice days & times and are required to attend two coach meetings per year (one per season). Assistant Coach - No experience necessary, we train our coaches at no cost to you. Coaches are rquired to attend two coaches meeting per year (one per season). To sign up as an assistant coach, go to Coach and Manager Registration and click Coach Registration.
Manager – Managers assist the coach with setting up snack schedules, team pictures, notification calls or emails to parents. To sign up as manager, go to Coach and Manager Registration and click Team Manager Registration.
ALL adults (18yrs and older) who have contact with BASC players during practice, games or other team activities must register with BASC every season and pass a background check and complete online concussion training annually. This includes parents helping out at practice and/or games.
